The Pixel Art Effect app offers a unique feature that allows you to transform your photos into captivating video game pixel art. It provides a range of effects, from modern pixel art—characterized by a subtle pixelated effect with numerous small pixels—to retro pixel art, which features fewer but larger pixels.

You have full control over the level of pixelation you desire. Additionally, the app offers six distinct designs to choose from, each varying in color and other properties. Furthermore, you can adjust the edge thickness to determine the outline of the artwork.

If you prefer a specific pixel design, the app provides four options for you to select: standard square pixels, hexagon pixels, triangular pixels, and torn pixels. To get a visual reference of these designs, refer to the included screenshot.

A significant advantage of this app is that it doesn't require an internet connection to function.

1. Step 1: To convert your image into pixel art, simply tap on the "Add a Photo" feature. Here, you can choose an image from your photo library or take a picture using your camera.
2. Step 2: Once you have selected your desired image, tap on the "Apply Pixel Effect" button.
3. Step 3: Save your pixel art creation to your photo library or share it on various social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+, VK, or any other platform. You can also set it as your profile picture or cover photo.

In version 2.2 and beyond, Pixel Art Effect offers an expanded range of features and effects for your photos. The possibilities are endless as you can mix and combine different effects and styles according to your preferences.

Furthermore, the app allows you to add text to your photos before or after applying the pixel effect. If you want the text to become pixelated as well, make sure to add it before applying the effect.

Lastly, besides transforming your photos, you can also crop them into various shapes. The available options include circle, flag, heart, star, square, or rectangle shapes.
